# One order truth across channels and warehouses

Anonymised sector example: DTC, marketplaces, and wholesale ran on separate logic. The outcome was one routing model and a measurement baseline — so inventory, returns, and service could share a source of truth.

Industry: Multi-brand retailer

Layer: Orders & fulfilment

## Constraint

Inventory lived in multiple systems. Oversells, returns chaos, and warehouse double-handling were the visible symptoms. Channel teams could not answer a simple question: what is actually available, and where should this order go?

## What we did

We treated order flow as an operating-model problem: routing rules, warehouse roles, marketplace mappings, and returns triage — then the integrations that make that model runnable. Platform brand was not the starting point.

## Outcome

Channels shared one routing design. Oversells and double-handling had a model to attack. Returns and service used the same logic, and the next inventory or channel change could be measured.
